Weekend Of Everything That Flies

at the 19th Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta in Clark Field, Pampanga

It was held last February 12-15, 2015 and we were able to come on the last day to finally see a hot air balloon up close (it's been on my bucket list since forever!!!), as well as the celebration of my mom's birthday. We left the house at 4:00 am and arrived at the venue by 6:15am, just in time for the balloon flying.
Watching the balloons fly as the sun started to rise seems surreal, complete with a live band singing energetic songs, people everywhere looking up and smiling, the moment was just too beautiful.

The day was jam-packed with various events, literally "everything that flies". There were paragliding exhibition, car drifting, aerobatic show, skydiving exhibition, demonstrations by PCG and coast guard, jet show, night glow and my 2nd favorite next to the hot air balloon flying, the light aircraft balloon bursting competition. The pilots literally pop balloons way up in the sky with their aircraft's propeller!

Here are the photos I took during the event:
Perks of a 300mm lens haha
Now, this will be an annual event for me! Hahaha

  1. Ugh I've had a dream for a very long time of going to these types of festivals. I've never seen a hot air balloon up close. Sigh, maybe one day. Great photos!
